Roles

User role determines what the user can access - whether it be reading data, writing data, creating data, or deleting data. A user can have multiple roles assigned to them.

Below is the list of significant roles to know about:

  • ESM Viewer

    • Read-only access to all ESM related documents.

  • ESM Operation

    • Create and write access to Job Operation.

  • ESM Operation Deleter

    • Delete access to Job Operation.

  • ESM Contract

    • Create and write access to Job Operation.

    • Create access to Job Commercial.

    • Write access to contract-specific fields in Job Commercial.

  • ESM Contract Deleter

    • Delete access to Job Commercial.

  • ESM Accounting

    • Write access to accounting-specific fields in Job Commercial.

Role Profiles

Role Profile is a preset group of roles that can be assigned to a user. It is often useful to be able to assign multiple roles to a user at once, and using role profile is a way to achieve that.

Below is the list of significant role profiles to know about:

  • Engineer In Charge

    • Represents EIC in ESM's work context. Able to see everything in ESM, but can modify operation-related data only.

  • ESM Contract

    • Represents contract team in ESM's work context. Able to see everything in ESM, but can modify contract-related data only.

  • ESM Accounting

    • Represents account team in ESM's work context. Able to see everything in ESM, but can modify accounting-related data only.

  • Engineer In Charge Manager

    • Similar to Engineer In Charge, with additional capability to delete Job Operation.

  • ESM Contract Manager

    • Similar to ESM Contract, with additional capability to delete Job Commercial.

  • ESM Admin

    • Can see, modify, and delete everything in ESM.

    • Can manage system users.
