Notifications

Overview

Notification is a feature to notify users when an interesting event happens. There are 2 types of notifications:

• System Notification

• Microsoft Teams Notification

System Notification

For System Notification, the notification is available for user to see at the bell icon at the top right of any page. If there's any unread notification, there will be a green dot at the bell.

Clicking on the bell will pop up a dialog showing the details of the available notifications. Clicking on the notification itself will open the relevant document related to the notification.

The system is configured to send System Notifications in scenarios defined in table below.

Microsoft Teams Notification

For Microsoft Teams Notification, messages are sent to ESM ERP channel in Microsoft Teams. Every Microsoft Teams user in ESM have access to the channel, and can open the channel to see the messages.

By default, messages sent to the channel by the system does not trigger notification to users' Microsoft Teams client on desktop/mobile. To receive Microsoft Teams notifications on both desktop and mobile, follow the steps in this Microsoft help page: Customize Channel Notifications.

The system is configured to send Microsoft Teams Notifications in scenarios defined below:

• Any change in Job Operation document

  • You can click Open Job Details button to directly see the details of the changed Job Operation.
